At our school, individual classes are allocated at least 2 outdoor playground times per day (weather permitting) — one in the morning and one in the afternoon. For one outdoor period each day, students participate in the school’s soccer program overseen by our staff soccer coach. Students are taught soccer skills and rules of the game. They not only develop their gross motor skills, but they also develop the ability to work together as a team and learn team sportsmanship skills. When students reach the age of 4, they can play on one of the school’s soccer teams, which participate in the Celebration Youth Soccer league. For the convenience of parents, teams practice onsite at the school’s soccer field and daily team practice (Monday through Friday) is overseen by our staff soccer coach. Games are held on Saturday mornings on the soccer fields adjacent to Celebration Town Hall.
