Early Childhood Language School in Orlando

Setting a Strong Foundation for Multi-Language Learning

Yes, your preschooler can learn multiple languages!

As one of the most distinguished language schools in Orlando, the Foreign Language Immersion School’s preschool program offers bountiful opportunities for children as young as six weeks old to be immersed in a language-rich environment.

Your child will leave preschool prepared to excel in kindergarten and elementary school while comprehending using foundational language in English, Spanish, French, and Chinese.

Advanced Education for Early Learners

Our academic-based program provides instruction for infants and children up to five years old. We begin age-appropriate math, science, social studies, and art education in our one-year-old classrooms. The primary focus is to provide a rapid level of language exposure that mimics how children develop their first language.

The Earlier, The Better

The research is clear: children exposed to multiple languages between zero and five years old are more likely to become fluent, excel academically in any subject, and are more socially conscious. The key is to seize this critical educational period to foster a lifelong love of language and learning.

Our program ensures your preschooler has a solid educational foundation to enroll in the FLIS elementary school program or any advanced kindergarten program.

How Does Immersion Compare to Other Preschool Programs?

Daycare

Play-based centers, or daycares, offer a large amount of unstructured, independent playtime. There is little academic instruction, as the primary focus is developing social skills through play and caring for fundamental needs.

Montessori

Montessori preschool programs encourage children to explore their natural interests through non-traditional teaching methods, such as grouping children of multiple ages into the same classroom.

Immersion

Immersion language schools are academically focused and expose children to multiple languages. Play, instruction, and care are provided in various languages, creating the building blocks of fluency.

FLIS Infant and Toddler Programs

We believe early language exposure increases the likelihood of proficiency in the future. In addition to providing nurturing caregivers, our youngest students discover language through play and daily instruction. Age-appropriate activities and toys help them develop gross and fine motor skills, discover their senses, and increase social development.

It’s our pleasure to accommodate your personal preferences whenever possible, whether you are nursing, introducing solids, sleep training, or potty training. We encourage open communication between parents, caregivers, and staff. Please reach out to our team with any accommodations or requests.

VPK Program

Our Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten program will give your child a strong foundation to excel in elementary school while building upon increased literacy in English, Spanish, Chinese, and French. Our advanced academic structure utilizes a complete kindergarten curriculum—a full year ahead of what is traditionally taught in public schools. Class sizes are well below state-required ratios for Pre-K, averaging about 15 children per class. This allows students to receive individualized attention to help them grow academically and socially.

Enrollment begins in January for the following school year.

We are a part of Florida’s VPK voucher program. Contact us for more information about using your VPK voucher at the Foreign Language Immersion School.
